Like many, we can’t help but go on and on about how fabulous the new iPhones are. We have our own list of reasons why we can’t get enough of the new phone. But one reason that is an absolute favourite to us is the bigger display with Retina HD display.

For many years the rival smartphone makers had one major advantage over the iPhone – the bigger screen size. While the iPhone was stuck with a smaller screen display, the rival smartphone makers could attract different target audiences; most importantly the ones who love to spend more time playing games. Well, all these shortcomings has been overcome by the great team behind responsible for making the awesome new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Not only the gaming industry, but this advancement in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus lends a great opportunity to all the app makers to make the most of the bigger screen. There are currently over 1.3 million apps in the AppsStore. Apple’s launch of the new 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus does not necessarily mean that the developers will have to redo all these apps to work properly on the bigger screens of the new iPhones.

Phil Schiller, the marketing chief of Apple, in the keynote speech at the launch of the product on Tuesday revealed that the iOS 8 platform has a desktop-class scaler that allows apps to the various screen sizes. This also means that the users, for the very first time, will be able to use the device horizontally on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apart from this, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also has an additional functionality called ‘Reachability’, which allows the users to double tap the TouchID to pull down the notifications with just one hand. As shared by Phil Schiller in the keynote speech at the launch was that Apple is now to giving access to its M8 chips to the developers so that they can run more graphic intensive apps closer to the processor.

Phil pointed out that, all this pain of allowing the users to view and use the apps horizontally has been taken to enhance the user experience. The in-built apps in the new devices have been designed to make the most of the bigger screen. We love how the new mail box and the messages appear in the new iPhones. This sure has opened many possibilities for those in the apps development business. It’s worth noting that CNN has already working on redoing its app to make the most of the bigger screen display. In the subsequent months many will follow. So, are you too ready to make you apps iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus-ready?
